Data Center SLX

Course Description

This course provides an in-depth study of the Extreme SLX family of products and how they are utilized in an enterprise network. The course covers core competencies of configuration, operations and maintenance of Extreme SLX products. This course also covers IP Fabric configuration and implementation.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, students will have gained the working knowledge to:

Describe Extreme’s SLX hardware
Configure and implement management protocols on SLX devices
Configure and implement monitoring and reporting features on SLX Products including syslogs and sFlow
Perform hardware troubleshooting and support functions on SLX devices
Perform firmware upgrades on SLX devices
Configure, deploy and maintain Link Aggregation Groups (LAGS)
Describe, configure, and maintain Multi-Chassis Trunking (MCT)
Configure, implement, and maintain IP Fabric
Use cases of deploying SLX devices
Discuss BGP4 Neighboring adjacencies and troubleshooting
